Sometimes, while wandering, you come across a scene you really didn’t want to find. You understand that nature will always play out as nature intended. Life, death, survival—it is all part of the cycle. Still, seeing something like this can be difficult. It makes you stop, stand quietly for a moment, and think a little deeper about nature and about life itself. Because at any moment, in any place, something can happen that changes everything. Nature can be beautiful, peaceful, and breathtaking… but it can also be harsh, unforgiving, and heartbreaking. Sometimes, all you can do is pause, respect what you’ve witnessed, and continue walking—with a little more appreciation for just how fragile life really is.

The darkest evil doesn’t always hide in the shadows. Sometimes, it smiles at you from behind a pulpit. Promises. Blessings. Warm smiles. Words designed to make you trust them—while the walls slowly close in. Then you try to leave. The calls begin. The pressure. The guilt. The shame. They remind you that you belong to them. And they don’t stop. Because the horror was never what happened when you walked in. It’s what follows you when you try to walk out.

Desert Courtesy Out where the canyons stretch wide and free, Where the only sounds should be wind and the bee, We walked the rocks with a curious eye, Chasing old stories beneath the desert sky. Then came a crack (or more) from a distant ridge, A little reminder to cross that bridge. A warning shot sent our way through the air, A lesson in manners that nobody shared. The desert is vast, there’s room for us all, No need to play cowboy or act ten feet tall. So keep your aim pointed somewhere else, please— The rocks have enough holes without help from these. We’ll keep exploring, but one thing is clear: Respect the land… and the people who are near.
