These are the oldest human footprints ever found in North America

Around 10,500 years ago, a hunter-gatherer walked through the mineral-rich sediment of the Chihuahuan Desert. The resulting footprints, locked in stone for millennia, have now been confirmed as the oldest human prints ever found in North America — shattering the previous record by 5,000 years.

"I s'prise the butterflies, 'n when A katydid I see, 'Katy didn't' I say, and he Says 'Katy did!' to me!

"I hide behind my mushroom stalk When Mister Mole comes froo, 'N only jus' to fwighten him I jump out'n say 'Boo!

"'N then I swing on a cobweb swing Up in the air so high, 'N the cwickets chirp to hear me sing 'Upsy-daisy-die!'

"'N then I play with the baby chicks, I call them, chick chick chick! 'N what do you think of that?" said he. I said, "It makes me sick.

"It gives me sharp and shooting pains To listen to such drool." I lifted up my foot, and squashed The God damn little fool.

PROXiMITY

Ryan Connolly’s short film PROXiMITY takes the familiar concept of “The Most Dangerous Game” and adds an additional rule: players wear ankle monitors that require them to stick close together or suffer the violent consequences.

That's something that doesn't happen around here every day.....

There seem to be two kinds of people in the world......

those who don't understand cats,

and those who think cats are kind of douchebags.

Unfortunately for cat lovers, science has kind of come down on the side of that second group.

Research has revealed that a lot of the quirky and even cute things your kitty does are actually signs that your cat is....

kind of a dick...

Hoodoo.......

Hoodoo, also known as "conjure" and (inaccurately) as "Voodoo", is a traditional African-American folk spirituality that developed from a number of West African, Native American and European spiritual .... What the fuck ? Wait one damn minute here...

Hoodoos typically form in areas where a thick layer of a relatively soft rock, such as mudstone, poorly cemented sandstone or tuff (consolidated volcanic ash), is covered by a thin layer of hard rock, such as well-cemented sandstone, limestone or basalt. In glaciated mountainous valleys the soft eroded material may be glacial till with the protective capstones being large boulders in the till. Over time, cracks in the resistant layer allow the much softer rock beneath to be eroded and washed away. Hoodoos are formed where a small cap of the resistant layer remains, and protects a cone of the underlying softer layer from erosion. Further erosion of the soft layer causes the cap to be undercut, eventually falling off, and the remaining cone is then quickly eroded.

Dead Kennedys - In God We Trust Inc - Lost Tapes

When Dead Kennedys went into the studio in 1981 to record In God We Trust, Inc., their “tribute” EP to the faster, thrashier “hardcore” musical style associated with the Washington, DC punk scene (think Minor Threat) the first sessions were laid down on defective tape stock, so they had to go back to the studio to record it again a few months later.

The Naughty Ones......

The elves take children from their parents and plunk them down on Santa’s lap. I take their picture. Most times, the kids flash gap toothed smiles. Other times little Johnny or Susie cries. Every once in a while, some kid has a total meltdown. I’m talking complete nervous breakdown, the kind where snot goes flying and the hysterics are shrill enough to pierce eardrums. I have a theory about those wailers – they’re going to be the naughty ones. And they know that when they grow up Santa will be very unhappy with them…
